Mercy is Just My Name Book 1: Perdition’s Mirrors

Perdition’s Mirrors
With the dusk, two bands of strangers came to the desert mining camp of Perdition. The first, a circus of Hellish degenerates out of the Borderlands, followed not long after by a preacher woman and her ward in a one-horse medicine wagon.

In the darkness, Monsieur Laveau’s Carnival slithers like a gaudy leech among Perdition’s miners, offering them their most secret desires.
The defrocked minister, Mercy Goode, seeks an evil older than the pyramids at the circus’s dark heart, but the god of Monsieur Laveau’s Mirror Maze has heard of this woman and is waiting.

Waiting and hungry….

About
Mercy is Just My Name is a classic revenge-fueled spaghetti western with a supernatural, steampunk twist. A visual feast — lavishly illustrated with dazzling yet brooding scratchboard illustrations, immersing the reader in an America that never was.

Quote:
Mercy empties her mind of preconception that a thing shaped like a man must be a man. She studies the carnies from the corner of her eye, that place where the illusion is least effective.

Bile rising in her throat, Mercy sees their true faces, then turning toward her ward, asks, “Pet, do you remember what I taught you?
Pet still stares at the freak cage and its tormented prisoner, trembling thumb on the hammer of her Spencer rifle.
“Sure, Sister. I remember. There ain’t no problem a 45-70 and a shovel can’t solve.”
