With the dusk, two bands of strangers came to the desert mining camp of Perdition. The first, a circus of Hellish degenerates out of the Dusk Lands, followed not long after by the preacher woman and her ward in a one-horse medicine wagon.
In the darkness, Monsieur Laveau’s Carnival slithers like a gaudy leech among Perdition’s miners, offering them their most secret desires.
The defrocked minister, Mercy Goode, seeks an evil older than the pyramids at the circus’s dark heart, but the god of Monsieur Laveau’s Mirror Maze has heard of this woman and is waiting.
